Polyus says the mill is running at annualised capacity of 3.5Mt following the upgrade of the crushing and grinding circuit that included installation of an additional crushing circuit of a ball mill and two vibrating screens, an additional cone crusher and screens to reduce recirculation and increase the SAG mill capacity.

The screen overflow is crushed and recirculated back to the SAG mill. The screen underflow is fed to a gravity separation stage which is designed to recover the gravity recoverable gold. The tails of the gravity separation are pumped to a secondary hydrocyclone, and these tails are then fed to the ball mill.
